ShipStation Partners With Mercado Libre To Bring 600 Million Latin American Buyers To U.S. Merchants

ShipStation is partnering with Latin America’s largest marketplace Mercado Libre offering merchants on the ShipStation platform new opportunities to scale international operations and seamlessly sell and ship to customers in the region.

Mercado Libre hosts the largest online commerce and payments ecosystem in Latin America, is the fourth largest marketplace in the world by visits per month, and the largest in Latin America, with a presence in 18 countries across the region, including Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, and Peru.

Mercado Libre enables its sellers to contribute to the development of a large and growing ecommerce community in Latin America.

The new partnership will enable ShipStation merchants to access a new gateway to Latin America with access to its ecommerce and payment tools.

ShipStation and Mercado Libre Partnership Expands Opportunities

Recently, the Latin American marketplace has seen tremendous growth due to the coronavirus pandemic which also accelerated its plan to add more consumer and fast-moving items to its inventory.

Similar to the rapid growth in North American and Europe, the pandemic’s stay-at-home orders have driven the adoption of online commerce in Latin America as well which should provide further growth opportunities, especially in an underserved market.

Through this new partnership, ShipStation U.S. merchants gain access to over 600 million Latin American buyers on the Mercado Libre marketplace, which processes over one million sales per day.

ShipStation said the collaboration will officially kick off on July 15th, 2020.
