Etsy launches a new advertising campaign, “Always Open,” telling the story of how Etsy brings joy to the every day, through the lens of its seller community.
These TV spots follow on the heels of Etsy’s of its most recent branding #StandWithSmall campaign, which reminds buyers when shopping on Etsy, customers are supporting a small business at a time when they need it most.
“We felt it was important for our narrative to evolve in these uncertain times. We wanted to highlight the heart and soul of our company – our sellers – who are still making one-of-a-kind items, right from their homes — items that will bring joy to people, when it matters most.”

The spots (a:30 second &: 15-second spot) feature 14 Etsy sellers from around the world – from a children’s clothing designer in Houston to a wallpaper designer in the UK – and highlight the craftsmanship of Etsy’s community and each seller’s passion for making truly one-of-a-kind products.
Etsy Always Open Part of Larger Campaign in Response to Coronavirus Crisis
Previously, Etsy announced it would invest $5,000,000 over the next month to drive sustained business for sellers and the marketplace is helping out sellers by offering a month grace period to pay their bills.
While for Etsy sellers in non-essential niche categories, the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has slowed their sales, some sellers found an opportunity by a recent CDC recommendation that the public wear any kind of mask or face covering.
With the “Always Open” advertising campaign Etsy is trying to lure more shoppers to its platform to look at the unique and custom products Etsy sellers offer. The campaign launches on April 16th on national and streaming TV.
