Yesterday, Wednesday December 5, 2018, the United States observed the National Day of Mourning for passing of President George H.W. Bush.
Because USPS and most federal agencies closed most of its operations yesterday, mail delivery was halted for most packages.
In a statement eBay informed sellers:
“eBay will automatically protect your Seller Performance and your late shipment rate will not be impacted for USPS shipments during this closure (any defects incurred will be removed and correctly reflected in your monthly seller evaluation).”
As is always the case with such notices, sellers are urged to check their accounts for possible defects due this holiday.
While eBay says they will correct them automatically, sometimes that doesn’t happen and sellers need to contact customer support.
