eBay announced new programs to help small business sellers navigate their business through the COVID-19 emergency.

Deferred Fee Payments: eBay is deferring most selling fees for eligible Store subscribers for a full 30 days. The company will provide more details on this program by Wednesday, March 25.

100,000 Incremental FREE Listings: With more buyers staying home because they are working from their house or having to take care of kids, eBay believes there is an opportunity for online sellers to offer more products for sale on its platform.

eBay Store subscribers can now list 50,000 additional fixed price listings FREE in March and 50,000 additional listings FREE in April.

Seller Protections: Seller Performance Standards will not be negatively impacted for the next 90 days. This program was actually announced a few days ago.

eBay Platform and Shipping Updates

Shipping: Carriers inside the U.S. are considered essential by the government at this time and there has not been disruption to date. eBay says they are in direct communication with USPS, UPS and FedEx – and domestic deliveries are continuing as usual, with slight variations on their signature required processes.

Trusted Marketplace: eBay continues to take steps to ensure the marketplace remains safe and trusted. That includes removing listings that include health claims and misuse of keywords, or any inflated prices on items like face masks and hand sanitizer. To help eBay with this clean-up process, sellers may report violations through this link.

More to Come: As much continues to change due to COVID-19 and eBay assures sellers they are committed to helping them navigate the uncertainty.

While the company had to cancel many of its UpFront events, it will continue to stay connected and share updates on its COVID-19 Community Hub, podcast and Facebook.

These benefits apply to the U.S. marketplace. Other international marketplaces may offer similar or different benefits to sellers. Here are some links.
