According to reports from Downdetector, a website that tracks user reports of usage and access issues with websites, eBay went down this morning in the UK and parts of Europe.

The site later posted a statement attributed to an eBay spokesperson that confirmed the outage, but also said it is resolved now.

“eBay experienced technical difficulties for a short period today, where users may have temporarily had trouble accessing the site. The issue is now fully resolved. Apologies for any inconvenience.”

As reports of the outage proliferated on social media, users in other regions also claimed occasional outages.

However, the number of other reports is miniscule to the acknowledged outage in the morning and likely not related.

eBay did not specify what caused the outage, but it appears the site is functioning correctly again.
