Cloudinary, the cloud-based media management solution used by many leading eCommerce and retail brands, announced a technology partnership with Magento Commerce.

The company’s web-based image and video platform will enable merchants on the Magento Commerce platform to quickly and easily enhance their media assets, including images and videos, and deliver improved shopping experiences across every device and browser.

Statista expects worldwide eCommerce sales to reach $4.8 trillion by 2021, over a threefold uptick in online revenue since 2014, which reached $1.3 trillion.

A successful eCommerce site is much more than its words. Images and videos tell a story and persuade and engage potential buyers.

This rapid media growth can impact page load times, conversion rates, and even SEO. This is a major concern for sites since the average customer will wait less than three seconds before abandoning a site.
