BigCommerce, a leading SaaS eCommerce platform which powers over 50,000 online businesses, introduces Instagram shoppable posts for U.S. clients.

This incredibly powerful integration gives BigCommerce clients access to market to over 800,000 active Instagram users within the BigCommerce platform.

BigCommerce shop owners will also have access to full analytics through eCommerce Insights and Analytics by on the BigCommerce platform.

Instagram posts typically do not allow links in posts. While the social media company has experimented with the feature on a small group of select larg Instagram accounts, BigCommerce is the only eCommerce platform currently offering every U.S. based client this feature.

BigCommerce clients have the choice to send their entire catalog to Instagram or create select posts. All postings are managed within the BigCommerce Channel Manager.

On select postings, up to 5 products can be sent to Instagram to show prices and detailed product views and descriptions. From the product details view, Instagram users can tap on “Shop Now” link that will take them directly to the BigCommerce shop owner’s site to purchase the product.

“Instagram has played a major role in helping us build a brand, and we love how the new shopping features allow us to easily showcase our products in a way that feels authentic to the community we’ve built.
In just a few short weeks of using the new shopping features on Instagram, we’ve seen a 100 percent increase in revenue from the channel and a massive 1,416% increase in Instagram referral traffic to our website.”

Thousands of BigCommerce merchants have grown their brands on Instagram, and it’s clear from the extraordinary results we’ve already seen that these new features represent a significant step forward for merchants, consumers and the promise of social commerce.”
