For SMEs that are still thinking about placing their products on Amazon, this may be a good trial to find out if Amazon can provide a boost in sales.
Currently, the company offers more than 20 product categories for sellers to list their products. All products must be new and some categories may require pre-approval by Amazon before a seller can list in them.
The pre-approval pretty standard practice for Amazon as it tries to keep its marketplace clean in some categories that have higher than average problems with fake goods, bad sellers, or over-saturation.
